SAALFELD EXPANDS ‘GREEN’ PRODUCT OFFERING, BRINGS INNOVATIVE PRODUCTS TO DISTRIBUTORS
LAS VEGAS, September 8, 2008—As demand for environmentally preferable products grows, so does Saalfeld® Redistribution’s “Green Portfolio.”
Saalfeld offers more than 100 SKUs of jan-san, foodservice, packaging and office products in its Green Portfolio—and will continue expanding the offering for distributors. Saalfeld also offers extensive training and education on green products and solutions.
The newest addition to the Saalfeld Green Portfolio is a new high-performance and environmentally responsible sorbent. The company is expecting strong demand for the ColdForm™ sorbents manufactured by Evolution Sorbent Products.
The innovative new line is made from recycled and 100% renewable resources. The durable ColdForm sorbents outperform equivalent meltblown oil-based products by 30%-50%, they offer greater price stability and value.
The new sorbents are now available coast-to-coast from Saalfeld’s ninedistribution centers.

customized “Green Portfolio” to sell to customers
Distributors increasingly look for the best solutions to meet their customers’ sustainability needs. But it’s a challenge to keep pace with the emerging “green” products, terminology, certifications and consistently evolving environmental claims.
Saalfeld decided it was important to organize this information and provide the context distributors need to understand the product claims, and determine which solutions are the best for their customers’ specific needs.
Saalfeld’s “Green Portfolio” is a marketing program that distributors can use to educate their customers and help them sell “green” products more effectively. It combines an in-depth but simple overview discussion on green cleaning along with a comprehensive outline of green products and solutions available today.
The Green Portfolio’s materials explain each manufacturer’s product and/or program position. Saalfeld assembled this information into a uniform presentation that showcases the industry’s green offering across multiple product categories.
While manufacturers’ logos are printed on the sales literature, the portfolio does not promote the Saalfeld brand. “We created it for our distributors to help them be as successful as possible,” explained John Siegel, director of marketing for Saalfeld. “Now, Saalfeld customers can immediately go to market with a green program that’s all their own.”
